Fleuropolymer Etching & Bonding
PTFE can be etched with a sodium ammonia or sodium naphthalene etch so that the chemical modification of its surface facilitates the adhesion to various substrates.
When etched for bonding, PTFE can be used as a sliding material or as corresponding additive in the most corrosive of environments due to the low coefficient of friction.
SERVICE INFORMATION
LICCO is one of the few companies in Asia who provides this service using two methods: sodium ammonia and sodium naphthalin. We are the experts in fluoropolymer etching, which guarantees the long lasting, resistant and uniform surface modification to meet any of your specifications.
Also, we offer etching services on all thicknesses of PTFE.
Whether you are using virgin or filled fluoropolymer (PTFE, PFA, FEP, ETFE, PCTFE, PVDF, ECTFE, etc), our innovative etching techniques allow to create the strongest bondable surfaces on any fluoropolymer.

We are constantly requested to bond Fluoroplastics to other components or onto a final product. Due to the non-stick qualities of the Fluoroplastics, each surface has to be etched first to make a strong bond.
